Article XX. ELECTRIC UTILITY ADVISORY BOARD |
§ 2-239. Officers; meetings and procedures.
(a)
The city commission shall appoint the chairperson of the initial electric utilities advisory board for a one-year term; thereafter, the electric utilities advisory board shall select its own chairperson for a one-year term at an election held at the first meeting of the board and annually thereafter. In addition, the members of the board shall elect such officers as may be deemed necessary or desirable to serve at the will of the board, including but not limited to a secretary to record minutes and attendance at each meeting. Meetings of the board shall be conducted in accordance with Robert's Rules of Order and the city commissions' rules and procedures.
(b)
The board shall meet at least once a month. The chair shall have the power to schedule special meetings or cancel regularly schedule meetings as the workload of the board requires.
(c)
Four (4) members of the board shall constitute a quorum for the performance of the duties of the board at any time.
(d)
Minutes shall be kept of all meetings of the board and all such meetings shall be properly noticed and open to the public. The board shall file approved minutes from its meeting with the city clerk.
