§ 2-238. Vacancies, removal from board.
(a)
If any member of the electric utilities advisory board shall fail to be present at three (3) consecutive regularly scheduled meetings or at twenty (20) percent of the regularly scheduled meetings of the board held within any 12-month period, the city clerk shall declare the member's office vacant, and the city commission shall promptly fill such vacancy.
(b)
When any member of the electric utilities advisory board resigns of is removed as provided in subsection 2-244(a), such member shall then be deemed to be removed and a vacancy created. These and all other vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired terms. A vacancy shall be filled by appointment by the mayor and district commissioners for their respective appointments and collectively by the commission for the commission appointment for the at-large members representing the business owners of the city and the electric utility service areas of or in a portion of the Village of Palm Springs and unincorporated Palm Beach County.
(c)
The members of the electric utilities advisory board serve at the pleasure of the city commission and the city commission may remove any member(s) of the utilities advisory board from office upon affirmative vote of the city commission.
