§ 21-5. Speed of trains, other vehicles on rails; reckless operation.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to run, or cause to be run, any trains, engine or locomotive, within the city at a rate of speed in excess of thirty-five (35) miles per hour; or to run, or cause to be run, any train, engine or locomotive, in a manner which is reckless or dangerous to persons or property. It shall be unlawful for any person to run, or cause to be run, any motor type vehicle or device other than trains, engines or locomotives upon stationary rails or tracks, within the city at a rate of speed in excess of fifteen miles per hour; or to run, or cause to be run, any such vehicle upon stationary rails or tracks in a manner which is reckless or dangerous to persons or property.
