§ 19-24. Rights-of-way permit fees.

  • (a)

    Established . Permit fees shall be established by resolution of the city commission or rules and regulations of the city.

    (b)

    Payment of permit fees . No permit shall be issued without prior payment of permit fees, unless, at the discretion of the public services director, the city allows the person requesting the permit to pay such fees within thirty (30) calendar days of billing.

    (c)

    Non-refundable fees . Permit fees that were paid for a permit that the public services director has revoked for a breach are not refundable.

    (d)

    Joint submissions . Persons requesting permits are encouraged to make joint submissions for permits to work in the rights-of-way at the same place and time. Persons requesting permits who apply for permits for the same construction, which are not performed by the department, may share in the payment of the permit fee. Persons requesting permits must agree among themselves as to the portion each will pay and indicate the same on their submissions.
