§ 15-2. Abandoned or discarded refrigerators, similar containers.

  • (a)

    Prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person, owner, custodian or possessor of any refrigerator, icebox, home freezer or similar device, to abandon, discard or throw away the same without first removing the door, lid or lock thereof, so as to make impossible the fastening or locking of such door or lid.

    (b)

    Presumption of abandonment. Any refrigerator, icebox, home freezer or similar device which is not in use and which is not on display or properly stored, shall be presumed to have been abandoned.
