§ 14-56. Criminal record of applicant for license.

  • No license required by classification (199)(b) of section 14-20 of this Code shall be granted to any applicant who has been convicted of one of the specified criminal acts within five (5) years of the date of application. Furthermore, if the applicant is a partnership, general or limited, the partnership shall not be granted a license required by said classification (199)(b) if any partner, general or limited, has been convicted of one of the specified criminal acts within five (5) years of the date of the application. Also, a corporation applicant shall not be granted a license required by classification (199)(b) of section 14-20 of this Code if any of its officers, directors or shareholders holding ten percent (10%) or more of the outstanding stock, has been convicted of one of the specified criminal acts within five (5) years of the date of application.

    All of the aforementioned applicants, whether they are sole proprietors, partners (both general or limited) or corporate officials (officers, directors and shareholders holding more than ten percent (10%) of the outstanding stock) shall submit with their application a complete standard FBI fingerprint card which shall be done by the Lake Worth Police Department.
